How many times have you booked an Airbnb or holiday home only to be totally disappointed when you arrive? 🤷🏽♀️ When considering your hen weekend accommodation it’s important to not get ripped off!!
There’s a very well know “hen party house” celebration house brand in the uk who are using very outdated photos. Charging very high prices to hens and under delivering on services. Which is so sad and disappointing 😢 we all want luxury, clean and well maintained hen party homes for our hen weekends!
How do I know? Because I speak to hens & brides who have booked with said company. They tell me, that on arrival the properties are tired, badly maintained, missing many simple amenities and worst of all the hen party properties smelled bad 😮 some hot tubs were no longer onsite.
They explain how they were forced to buy a hen“package” which they didn’t want and wasn’t worth the money.
We also discovered that when they had a question regarding their booking or hen party activities they had to wait ages for a reply to an email, no one answered the phone or text messages and unbelievably when they had an emergency during the stay, they could not get hold of anyone.
Why didn’t they complain or write an honest review?? 🤯 they said they did but the company disabled their Facebook review button & Google page.
How can you spot a shit hen party mansion like this and avoid booking one by mistake. Read on….⬇️
🎈Ask your friends who recently got married where they have stayed for hen weekends and only book recommended holiday homes.
🎈look at the properties social media, can you see “real” hen do photos that guests have posted?
🎈 Be aware of glossy, well lit night shots taken by professionals (there’s a reason why the house only looks good at night!)
🎈 Book with a “real” holiday home host not a generic bland brand (real people will show their face on social media)
🎈 look out for negative reviews and how the host responds. Google the house, host & company name.
🎈See if the hen party location is listed on Airbnb or other trusted platforms and see the detailed feedback and reviews.
🎈 Avoid any houses who’s website use stock bought photos, have outdated content, insist on hen do packages & don’t reply in person.
🎈Ask anyone in the bridal & wedding industry including hair and make up to recommend. Remember they’re talking to brides and bridesmaids all day long.
🎈Pick up the phone to the property owner. You again so much insight just from a quick chat. Pick those who are friendly flexible and accommodating and actually sound like they love what they do. This is once in a lifetime hen for for your bride to be it needs to be special.
