Norfolk House Scarlet Hen surpassed all expectations for our hen party.

The house and owners go above and beyond in all areas, from the initial booking, to suggestions of extra actitives to the absolutely drop dead gorgeous interior design. 

Charlotte made the whole experience super easy and her attention to detail covers everything you could possibly need, right down to the inflatable cup holders for the hot tub! Nothing is missed.

The location of the house is prime and sooo easy to get to, parking available and easy access. The lay out of the bedrooms and bathrooms is great and the main games room is perfect for all the activities we had planned. The whole house just feels perfect for socialising but also plenty of areas if you need a break.

Every single one of our group was totally blown away by Norfolk House, nothing quite prepared us for just how fantastic it is and the impact it had on our weekend together. 

It was so special! Our Hen was an emotional wreck!

I would highly recommend a hen group to stay at Norfolk house, it was perfect and has everything you need in one house, there’s no need to leave!
It’s so beautifully presented and was a luxury stay for us all, we did the cocktail making with twisted mojito and did all the catering ourselves, the owners are lovely and extremely helpful 💘

What to say about this little gem stashed away on a street where it almost looks like it doesn’t belong! I got to see all the sights as I walked there from the train station… yes, the location is great for transport networks, walking in to town centre & also ample parking for those with cars.

I booked for 20 of us for my 40th. Charlotte was great with my questions & booking forms/payment links that everyone could add to. I live overseas so needed stress free happenings.

Host was great with reminding me about things we can do & suggesting the online shop get sent on the day. I’d have been in Asda with a trolley otherwise!

Complimentary fizz on arrival… quick house tour from her husband (who had kindly put the food shop away for us) and was impressed to see that there were decorations up as standard. Such a cute touch. And the house is funky and fabulous. Love the signs and photos.

Before arrival I got the list of rules I’ve seen mentioned & paid the £650 deposit… and did think ‘lord, this seems a bit strict’ and we joked not to break wine glasses as they would prove very expensive if claimed deposit! But they’re just to protect the hosts business and gorgeous house. They’re not hard to follow if you’re considerate and respectful. Do you have to play music quietly inside. No. Do you have to close doors to the neighbours and smoke in a set area. Yes. But that’s standard procedure. Same as hot tub end time. People live on the street. They don’t need to hear drunks girls screeching or singing Little Mix at 11pm 🤣

Friday night we stayed in with a grazing table, did stupid fancy dress, drank, danced, chatted in the main room upstairs. It was great.

Next day we went for walks in the park opposite. There’s a Park Run if anyone can face it! Then drinks in the hot tub and out for the afternoon as brunches are nearby (Warehouse had really good service and we pre booked/ordered). Later we got take out and carried on enjoying the house back in the party room.

We had a wicked time & would recommend this place for a fun girlie staycay. Imagine in summer it’s even more fabulous!

AMAZING!!!
I was part of 3 bridesmaids who were put in charge of organising my best friends hen do. With only a few months to plan, we decided to keep it within the UK but found that there weren’t many places, reasonably priced that offered the WOW Factor…until we stumbled across this gorgeous gem!!! From enquiring, to booking, to arriving, Charlotte made everything so easy and she was so helpful. Nothing was too much of an ask and she was such the perfect host. 
The house is absolutely STUNNING, when we arrived and charlotte showed us around, we literally gasped and said “wow” to every part of the property. Charlotte has thought of everything you could possibly want for a hen party…karaoke, private hot tub, props, selfie ring light, pool table and a bar all with that touch of glam. With it sleeping a lot of people, I was conscious about it being cramped, but it really isn’t. It’s perfect. Luckily we dropped on a summers weekend in June 2023 and the weather was glorious so we made full use of the garden and attic terrace which was such a bonus. The property is spotlessly clean and has everything you need! 

The extras that we booked were 5 star too. We opted for the spa treatments and the 3 course meal. The spa therapists were fab and the room that the treatments are given in is so relaxing and tranquil. No complaints at all. 
The meal was gorgeous, no complaints whatsoever. The caterers arrived perfectly on time with food served quickly and they tidied up and left us to enjoy the rest of our evening…perfect! 

I would recommend Scarlet Hen to anyone!! There is nothing bad I can say about this, one bit. It is PERFECT. All credit to you and your family Charlotte… you really have something amazing here! 🩷✨

We had our Christmas party at Norfolk House at the weekend and it was wonderful! Charlotte is a great host and everything about the property is stunning and perfect. You took our breath away with your amazing style and design.

The team said 'No idea how we'll top this for a Christmas do'. And they are right. Lots of space to dance, chill out, sleep, take photos, eat, chat and generally have a fabulous time. The chef was fantastic too.

I booked The Scarlet Hen for my best friends hen do, the whole weekend was amazing and Charlotte makes sure every detail is perfect before you arrive. The house is beautiful and finished to a really high standard. We booked the private chef for the first night and it was such a treat, we didn’t even have to do the washing up 👏🏻❤️ 
We didn’t feel the need to go out all weekend, we just enjoyed the house and everything it had to offer. 
Everything was perfect and we all loved it. I would definitely recommend to any maid of honours planning hen dos, having everyone in the same place made my job so much easier and gave the bride the best hen ❤️❤️

Luxury hen weekend 5/5

After hours of searching online I didn’t think my goal of achieving the ultimate luxury hen weekend in the UK was realistic. 

But when I came across the scarlet hen, I knew it was perfect for the bride to be. 

It is super instagramable! 

After sending my initial enquiry I got a prompt response and the booking process was easy and simple.

I loved all the hints and tips provided on their website. It really helped me as a stressed out MOH..

The terms and conditions and large damage deposit seemed pretty daunting initially. However, I totally understood why they are in place. You won’t need to worry if you are planning on having a luxury weekend and respecting this beautiful home.

The house is EVEN better in real life. The gorgeous pictures don’t do it justice. Me and the bridesmaids were blown away during the check in process. We also loved all the personal touches that are made for your arrival for example the welcome sign and decorations. 

We had the perfect weekend in the most glorious house. 

This house has all bases covered! We personally loved the discreet karaoke machine. 

Charlotte was the perfect host and helped with my many questions which helped us to deliver “The best weekend ever!”

5/5 and would highly recommend. 

Hints and tips to future hen planners:
1. Don’t hesitate, book this beautiful house now!
2. What’s app is the best way to communicate with host rather than calls/emails.

Booked The Scarlet Hen at Norfolk House for my daughters hen weekend. Such a beautiful home, large spacious rooms, comfy beds, amazing decor and amenities with everything you could possibly need. Booking and planning activities was super easy with Charlotte making all the arrangements. Charlotte was warm and friendly, even putting our shopping away before we arrived. This is an absolutely beautiful house with a lot of character and fun! Charlotte was absolutely brilliant at helping us from the initial query to the actual day of the hen weekend.

Had my hen do weekend here in may and can not fault it. What a beautiful house, the cocktail masterclass was so much fun…just be careful with the tequila. Yes there are a few rules but I think as long as your not too roudy it’s fine we were partying till early hours with no problems. Xx
