The White Room

When the architect designed Norfolk House the Drawing Room (The White Room) was the room which had to impress guests. Important guests who be entertained in the drawing-room after a lavish dinner. The Drawing room was a space to show of wealth and would be adorned with the finest paintings, furniture and art. This 40ft lounge was originally separated into two rooms with folding doors (no longer in place) would be lit at night by candlelight chandeliers.

After many years of neglect and various changes of use, sadly the elegant room had lost many of the original features. The room has since been restored to its former glory, beautiful red and black 7ft fireplaces now stand proudly where 1970s gas fires once stood. The false ceilings and spotlights replaced but carefully restored crystal Empire chandeliers. Italian white leather sofa and elegant Mies van der Rohe Barcelona Chairs and contemporary art finish this stunning room. We have recently added a brand new table which cleverly is a dining table/table tennis and pool table all in one!

Relax in this spacious room perfect for playing games, karaoke, dancing and relaxing. This room has 42″ TV, lots of DVDs, Play Station, Wii, Board Games, Netflix, Sound System and Disco Lights.
